Effective August 6, 2026 · These terms govern your use of the Caseback web app, the Caseback iOS app, and joincaseback.com (the “Service”), operated by the House of Wildes (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country) and able to form a binding agreement. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials private. One account per person; accounts are for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing (dealers and brands: write to the house first).
Usernames. Usernames are 3–30 characters and may use only lowercase letters, numbers, periods, and underscores; they may not begin or end with a period or contain repeated periods. Usernames that impersonate a person or brand, infringe a trademark, imitate the house (including variations of “Caseback” or “House of Wildes”), or suggest a staff or moderator role are unavailable, and we may reclaim, reassign, or require a change to any username that violates this policy or sits inactive.
You keep ownership of everything you post: photos, captions, comments, and collection entries. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content within the Service so it can work as a social app (for example, showing your wrist check in the feed, in search, and in weekly features). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared or reposted by other members and short-lived backups.
You promise that content you post is yours to post: your own photographs, or images you have the right to use. Do not post other people's photos as your own, images of people who haven't agreed to appear, or anything unlawful.
Caseback is a table, and the table has manners. You agree not to:
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules or put the Service or its members at risk. Where reasonable we will tell you why. Moderators (“keepers of the house”) act on our behalf in enforcing these rules.
Collection values, the price guide, market charts, and any figures shown in the Service are editorial estimates for entertainment and reference only. They are compiled from public sources and community entries, may be wrong or out of date, and are not an appraisal, an offer, investment advice, or financial advice. Do not buy, sell, insure, or value a watch based on numbers in the Service. Always verify with a qualified appraiser or dealer.
Dealings between members. Caseback is not a marketplace, dealer, broker, or escrow service. Any purchase, sale, trade, or meeting you arrange with another member happens outside the Service, entirely at your own risk, and we are not a party to it. We do not verify the identity of members, the authenticity or condition of any watch, or the performance of any transaction, and we accept no liability for losses arising from dealings between members.
Daily and weekly games, points, streaks, standings, and badges are for fun. They have no cash value, are not redeemable, and may be adjusted, reset, or discontinued at any time.
The Service's design, name, marks, Journal writing, and software are ours or our licensors' and are protected by intellectual-property law. Watch photographs in the catalog, price guide, and Journal include imagery from third-party sources (including auction houses and retailers) used for identification and commentary; all trademarks (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Omega, Tudor, and every other brand named) belong to their respective owners. Caseback is an independent community and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any watch manufacturer, auction house, or retailer.
Copyright complaints and takedowns. We respect copyright and expect the same of our members. If you believe content on the Service infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, write to hello@joincaseback.com with the subject line “Copyright” and include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) the URL or location of the material on the Service; (3) your name, mailing address, and email; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and (6) your physical or electronic signature. We act on complete notices promptly, normally by removing or disabling access to the material. If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice containing the elements described in 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3), and we will follow the process that section describes. See our Copyright Policy for the full process.
Repeat infringers. We terminate the accounts of members who repeatedly post infringing material.
Rights holders. If you own rights in editorial or catalog imagery displayed by the Service and prefer it not appear here, write to the same address and we will remove the imagery promptly on request.
We work to keep Caseback fast, accurate, and available, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content (including valuations) is correct.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the House of Wildes will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising out of content you post or your breach of these terms.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts as described in Section 3, or discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice where practicable). Sections 2 (license wind-down), 4, and 6 through 12 survive termination.
If you use the iOS app: these terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app; and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in an embargoed country and are not on any U.S. government restricted-party list.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, you agree to write to us and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material we will post the new version here, update the effective date, and note it in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
